I have decided that I really REALLY don't like the winter months. My oldest is sick, again, pneumonia, this time. (at least it was caught in the earliest stages). This makes 3 times for her to get really sick. My youngest has gotten very sick 3 times (I'm not counting little colds, I don't know how many of those we've caught.) And I have gotten very sick 4 times. I have been in to the ER 4 times (at least once for each of us) and at least 2 doctor visits.

Yes, winter is a likely time to get sick, and it usually happens.

I expect it.

However, this is....
I don't know.

But I'm very tired of it, whatever it is.

Doesn't it say something, though, when your child starts comparing illnesses? The doctor asked how she felt and she told him, "I feel as bad as my mommy felt at Christmas." Then she told me that at least she was achy and not feeling nauseous because she'd rather hurt and have a fever (103.4...ugh) than feel like she was going to be throw up, like she did in Utah. Talk about breaking my heart! And I couldn't do anything about it at the time- we were already waiting in the ER.

By the way, February is, apparently, the busiest month in the ER at the hospital we were at. (6 pm to 5 am is how long we were there, and most of it was spent waiting. I was just glad I didn't have to wait long when we were called back, they were overflowing then, as were the other 2 hospitals in the area. Oh, I guess that makes it 5 trips to the ER. I almost forgot about that. Thank heavens for military health insurance, huh?!)

Okay.
That's all.
I think I'm done complaining now.
I should go to bed.
I probably won't, but I should.
Good night!

This is ridiculous. The dog was supposed to only be about medium sized. Does this look medium sized? I thought not.

I guess I'm just frustrated. We have had him over a year and I have been training him (with marginal success). I have to find him a new home. Who is going to want a dog this large? (That chews through everything he can, sheds everywhere and barks, a lot.) I should've stuck with cats. I'm a cat person, although I do like dogs. I handle cats better.

I miss my cats.

They couldn't knock over and trample my daughters when they played.

<lj:music>whatever is playing on the movie that is on</lj:music>

Well, it's after 1:30 am and my oldest is sick and can't/won't go to sleep. I moved her and her sister out to the living room floor (with blankets and mats and all that) and my stuff to the couch so I can be near. I guess it's a given that she won't be going to school tomorrow. I'm exhausted. Usually it wouldn't be so much of a problem to stay up this late but I have been having problemms going to sleep at night for a while now (try since my husband was deployed last November) not to mention I (along with both my daughters!) have a bad cold and a cough that has a tendency to keep me up as well.

Now with all this said, I have a question. Am I a bad mom for wanting to go out and just go to sleep? Is that neglectful to the child who is sick? (she is watching a movie- The Black Stallion- to distract her from how she is feeling- hey, she's 7, I'm just glad it isn't one of her Barbie movies right now!)
Well, maybe I'll get lucky and she will fall asleep soon. I hope so (that would definitely be best for the both of us!)

It's times like these that I really wish I lived a bit closer to my parents (my mother would love it if she was close enough that I could call her to help me with something like this!)

I should go now. I just needed to do my little bit of whining and I'm done now.

They are in the wedding pic of the four from the back! They don't look the same!

Well, I'm still missing that husband. Hmm. Well, I recieved an email from him today. It was nice to hear from him again. He usually contacts me now about every other day or so. I just got 4 packages off to him and 3 letters, and then he tells me what he wants/needs! Oh well. I guess he will have to wait until I can get something else off to him.

I was looking through some of my files on my computer the other day, and discovered that I have a total of 6 Fanfiction stories that I have started. 2 of them I have gotten quite far on. I think I would love to continue them, but I think I'm stuck. They aren't in the series that I have been into lately, and I'm not sure how to get back into the mood to write them. I love coming up with ideas, I love plotting things out. I think another problem I have, though, is that I hate to write things all out. I need a program that I can just tell the story into and it will write it out for me. I know there is that kind of thing out there. however, when you really get down to it. That is really more hassle than it's worth, I think. (I have actually experimented with one a while back. Great idea, pain to use.) Oh well. Life goes on, and maybe one of these days I will get around to finishing and posting my fics. Maybe I will put them up in here soon just for kicks.

I guess that's it for today. Later!
